Elections were held this month, and in addition to the returning officers from last year, I welcome Trig Morley, KCØRPY, as our new Vice President-elect, and Bob Davidson, KFØAUI, as our new Director-At-Large-elect. I thank Vice President Larry Hall, KDØRIU, for his many years of club service, as well as Director-At-Large Greg Sippel, KØGCS, for his service to the club this last year. Our new officers and Directors-At-Large take office following the December meeting.
Our new leadership team will aim to renew our club goals, initiatives, and activities for the coming year. An important purpose of our club is to exchange information between members, promoting our radio knowledge and helping fellow club members fulfill their amateur radio goals. So I encourage members to not only share their ideas for club activities but also help the club with their inspiration by joining in on sponsoring events.
Tech Nights: The club voted at the November meeting to suspend Tech Nights for November and December, as those dates fall on Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
Registration for our Extra License class sessions in January and February is now open on the website. I urge all club members to take that next step in understanding radio electronics knowledge by taking advantage of this learning opportunity.
