Tech Night - B-25 Mitchell Bomber and the Effect of WWII on Ham Radio
wb0cnk

What has seemed like a long winter is finally over, and a nice list of events is here for you to enjoy this summer. Help spread the word to your friends and neighbors about Ensorfest 25 coming up May 10th. This event has something for the entire family.  A day of fun and history,  highlighting a wide range of events, from disc golf to car shows and farm equipment from multiple periods, as well as a variety of live music throughout the afternoon. Be sure to contact Marty if you're interested in helping set up.

One week later, on May 17th, is our annual Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve POTA event near Strong City, KS. This favorite among club members provides a chance to casually learn about portable stations, battery supplies, and antennas, all while viewing the largest expanse of tallgrass prairie left in the world.

Our club's 2025 Field Day events on June 28th and 29th, at Ensor Park and Museum, are taking shape. Last year, a crowd of club members enjoyed each other's company while setting up and then made hundreds of contacts, including 3 continents and 8 countries over the weekend. This is another casual weekend to get to know your fellow club members, share stories, learn about equipment, and put up the kinds of antennas we wish we could have at home.

It was great to see many club members attend the new Regional KC Hambash sponsored by the Raytown ARC. Several SFTARC club members had tables for this well-attended event.
