Spring weather has arrived and many of our yearly club events are nearly here. Set some time aside to enjoy these club gatherings. Our club calendar lists several good hamfests that are just around the corner, so join others, or form a group, and plan on attending them. Tech Night, March 27th (Zoom), will feature an interesting presentation on astronomy by Mike Stewart NØTU. Among other activities, Mike draws on a long association with the Powell Observatory near Louisburg, KS.
Many members are already set up with tickets to attend the new Hambash on April 12th, so be sure to join them. Ensorfest25 is May 10th. This family event grows larger each year and is typically full of history, with displays of; fire trucks, old farm vehicles, cars, as well as the arts and music, so be sure to attend it. Volunteer to help with Ensorfest if you can by contacting Marty Peters.
Later on May 17th, the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve POTA event will be held. If you've never attended this POTA event, you should, as many folks report this as a top event of their year. Many folks carpool to this POTA, making travel easy. (See Jim Andera for travel details.) Field Day in June, is rapidly approaching. Be sure to experience the fun of this event by sharing your ideas and suggestions for the weekend of events.(See the Club Calendar if you need more information on any of these events).
